Jordan & David were married at First Baptist Church of Troy (my home church) on August 23, 2014.  I love when I get to shoot at my home church… it’s a good feeling to be in my comfort zone and of course, get to see many familiar faces throughout the day.  A few years ago Jordan and her mom and I were part of a mission team that went to Nicaragua, it was such a blessing to get to know them and to serve alongside each other!  When she asked me to be her wedding photographer, I was so excited; I knew their wedding day was going to be a special one and one that pointed others to Christ… and it did just that!

Jordan and David are two of the sweetest people you could ever meet and their love for Jesus radiates for miles and miles!  As they exchanged vows and the two of them became one they must truly have one of the biggest servant’s hearts ever!  They are on mission to take the gospel “to the end of the earth.”

The weather was absolutely perfect that day and every single person who was there just loved this couple SO much!  I am truly grateful to be their photographer and friend!  The world needs more people like you!.

Today I am so excited to share one of the sweetest weddings ever.  On August 2, 2014 Angela and Will exchanged vows at the historic American Village located in Montevallo, Al. This amazing venue is “inspired by some of America’s most historic places” and there is beauty everywhere you look.   The beauty inside the church is indescribable, you have to see the images for yourself, and the beauty of the venue’s landscape is breathtaking and the most beautiful backdrop for photography!!  All day there were threats of rain and other than two tiny sprinkles (that didn’t interfere with pictures – yay!!),  it all held off!

The love that Angela and Will have for each other and their family and friends is the sweetest!  Both Angela and Will  have such loving, respectful relationships with their parents and it was encouraging to see how beautiful and loving their relationships were.  Then, their wedding party, those they chose to stand by their side as they exchanged vows…they were the cream of the crop and so much fun to be around!  Angela and Will’s personalities are one of a kind and I can see why they are loved by so many, they are truly a joy to be around!

From the most beautiful bridesmaids, super cute flower girls and little ring bearer, handsome groomsmen to the gorgeous, SO in love couple to all of the amazing, emotional moments during the day ..this was the kind of wedding that reminds me of why I do what I do, and it makes me feel so blessed that this is what I get to do for a job!  Each of my couples finds a special place in my heart and I cherish the time I get to spend with each and every one of them!

I photographed Sarah Elizabeth’s nephews at Watercolor one summer and little did I know God’s plan was to bring this entire family into my life…. I sure am glad He did!  I was with Sarah Elizabeth and Chase at their proposal at Seacrest beach, and joined their families for a little celebration afterwards. It was at this time I fell completely in love with them and their families.  It was if we had known each other for a lifetime!  Their words and actions reflect Jesus and they have had a huge impact on my life…to the Sanders and Jordan families, thank you for being so awesome!

Thankfully we hit it off at the proposal and we began talking about wedding photography… and from there we were blessed to be on this engagement journey with Sarah Elizabeth and Chase.  I shot their engagement session at Eden Gardens and Watercolor, followed by her bridal session at her parents home in Dothan (and they sent me home with the most delicious cookies ever), then the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding….all of these sweet moments led David and I to be with them on their wedding day July 26, 2014 to capture memories that I know they will cherish forever and ever! It was such a special day straight from heaven as Sarah Elizabeth and Chase were surrounded by friends and family to celebrate God joining them together as one.  The ceremony took place at First Baptist Church of Dothan and then everyone joined the bride and groom at the Dothan Country Club for a very fun reception to celebrate their marriage!  To enjoy more sweet images set to music, click here.

I first met April the summer of 2011 when we did a session in Watercolor with she and Trent and from that moment I was thankful God allowed our paths to cross. I saw a glimpse of the beautiful heart she had and was blessed to call her a friend from that very moment! In 2012, I was also blessed to capture sweet newborn images of little miss Miller, who added so much sweetness and sparkle to their little family! And now, the summer of 2014, I was able to be with April on another special day as she and Jake became husband and wife!  Their love for each other and their family is so sweet and it meant so much for me to be able to capture these memories for she and Jake and to share this special time with them and their kiddos!  I’m truly humbled each and every time I am able to share life’s moments with my couples and to capture memories for them that they will cherish forever makes my heart so happy… truly thankful God created me to be a photographer!  To see more from April and Jake’s sweet Watercolor session and their intimate marriage ceremony on the beach, click here.
