IMG_0118 verseMeet Rachel and Kyle, their smiles are contagious and joy radiates from their personalities!  This couple is a blessing to know and I know there are so many that would agree with that statement! My family is so blessed to call them sweet, sweet friends of ours! As you browse through these images, here are a few words to describe the qualities they see in each other and these words are true reflections of the hearts they possess: Rachel describes Kyle as steadfast, a leader and thoughtful; Kyle describes Rachel as genuine, a servant and cheerful!IMG_0162 IMG_0107 (1)I was one of the lucky ones to get to know about the proposal before it actually happened, and to get to know the details! Keeping it a secret from Rachel was super fun (and hard)!  The proposal was nothing short of perfect and nothing short of giving God all the glory for the relationship He blessed them with!  Here is a glimpse into Kyle’s perfect proposal from Rachel, “The proposal was a complete surprise, but so perfect….When we walk in the sanctuary, I find three bibles down the aisle with a rose on each side and a picture of us with a short note above each Bible. We sit down at the first Bible and he reads me Mark 10:7-9 which states, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” I just can’t stop smiling at this point because I know it’s FINALLY happening. The next Bible was open to Proverbs 31:30, “Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” We go to the last Bible that’s laying down the aisle and it’s open to 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.” At this point, I was pumped. We got to the altar where the last Bible was open to Ephesians 5:25-27, “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of the water of the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.” Once he read the last verse, he told me that he wanted to lead me to the cross every day and that he loved me. He grabbed the ring from the church pew and got down on one knee. Kyle and I had not told each other we loved each other the whole time we dated so I think I was more excited to tell him I loved him than I was him actually proposing! It definitely made the moment that much more sweeter and special! We were then greeted by our families at Kyle’s brother’s house and got to celebrate. It meant so much for my family to be there! I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal. I am so thankful for a guy who is so thoughtful!”IMG_0178IMG_0364IMG_0405 IMG_0329 IMG_0304IMG_0390 (1)IMG_0521-2 (1)IMG_0537 (1) IMG_0521-2Rachel and Kyle, you guys are dear to my heart and I will be forever thankful that God brought you into mine and my families lives!  The love you guys have for Jesus and the love that you share for each other is so encouraging!
